The story of Leading Respiratory Services began with a simple but powerful goal — to provide compassionate, reliable, and patient-focused respiratory care right here at home in southern Ohio.

In the 1998, access to quality respiratory equipment and home medical services in the Scioto County area was limited. Many patients were forced to travel long distances for care or rely on large, out-of-town providers who lacked personal connection. Recognizing this gap, a small group of healthcare professionals and community members came together with a shared vision: to build a locally owned respiratory care company that would put patients first.

From a modest office in West Union, Ohio, Leading Respiratory Services began by serving just a handful of patients who needed oxygen therapy and basic respiratory supplies. The company’s first employees wore many hats — delivering equipment, educating patients, handling paperwork, and building relationships with doctors and hospitals. Word spread quickly about the level of personal attention and reliability the company offered, and within a few short years, Leading Respiratory Services became a trusted name across the region.

Growth and Expansion

As patient needs evolved, so did our services. What started with oxygen therapy soon expanded to include CPAP and BiPAP therapy for sleep apnea, non-invasive ventilation, cough assist technology, and a wider range of home medical equipment. Our reputation for quality and compassion helped us form partnerships with pulmonary specialists, hospital discharge planners, nursing facilities, and home health agencies across multiple counties.

To meet growing demand, we opened additional offices and service centers throughout southern Ohio, northern Kentucky, and western West Virginia, allowing us to serve patients more efficiently and provide faster response times for equipment deliveries and service calls.

Every expansion was guided by the same founding principle: to make high-quality respiratory care accessible to every patient who needs it — whether they live in a busy city or a quiet rural community.

A seasoned Registered Respiratory Therapist, Phil founded the company to bring compassionate, high-quality respiratory care directly to patients’ homes. With years of clinical experience and a genuine passion for helping others, he leads his team with integrity, ensuring every patient receives personalized support and expert care. Phil’s hands-on approach and commitment to community have made him a trusted name in respiratory health throughout southern Ohio and the surrounding region.

Katie Neace, RRT

The newest member of the Leading Respiratory Services team, bringing fresh energy, compassion, and a strong commitment to patient care. With a background in healthcare and a passion for helping others, Katie quickly became an integral part of our organization. She takes pride in ensuring every patient feels comfortable and informed, providing the friendly, reliable support that defines our company. Katie’s positive attitude and dedication to learning make her a valuable addition as we continue to grow and serve our communities across southern Ohio and beyond.
